3 Night Visit to Komandoo

My Wife and myself were very lucky to visit Komandoo which was offered to us by our Island Meeru which was overbooked.
We were very happy and having a wonderful holiday on Meeru taking full advantage of a lovely 3 night cruise free of charge and then the chance to visit a 5 Star Island - Why not we were having the holiday of a life time and There was more to come Komandoo !!!
We arrived on Jan 29th via Sea Plane from Male ( this was a wonderful experience ) We arrived with fellow Meeru guests Roy & leigh who had friends staying on Komandoo which was to be a great bunch of people who all became good friends.
We were met on the Jetty by the resort manager- a very nice Lady/ sorry im not good with names ! we were escorted straight into Reception which made us feel like film stars as Staff playing Drums and Roys friends singing and clapping us into resort wow what a Welcome!!
We were given a cold flannel and ice cream and a lovely drink and then given our room key a Water Villa Eagle Ray 3 things just seemed to get better and better.
We were shown to our room by a manager walking the short distance through the tropical gardens feeling the powder white sand under our toes. Once into our room Wow we were blown away with everything about it Perfect.
As it was now lunch time we were soon changed and headed of to the Restaurant which was to become the highlight of our Days ,Eating and Drinking wonderful first class food. We were met by another friendly member of staff who showed us to our table again given a cold flannel to freshen up and our drink order taken, Never ever had to ask or signal for service ,Staff very much on the ball and switched on to keep you happy. The food at every meal was first class top notch i would go as far to say some of the best and nicest i have ever eaten.
I could go on about Breakfast and Dinner but i feel i have said it all, one thing it was nice to be around smiling friendly guests choosing their food.
The rest of the time we enjoyed our last few days sunbathing on our decking and snorkling around the wonderful reef and watching the tropical fish.
Evenings were spent drinking in the bar with friends with great in-put and jokes from our head barman (again forgot his name) but what a charachter and dry sence of humour he had.
We would like to thank all the staff on Komandoo for making this short stay one of the best we could have hoped for and the highlight of our 2 weeks in the Maldives, We wiil return one day im sure, But till then i would realy lke to recomend Komandoo to all who like a touch of Class !!!!

Hi Barry an interesting read really glad you enjoyed Komandoo it is a great island and as you said the food is fantastic.The manager'sname is Lybia and I think you are talking about Silva in the bar.I am interested to know where you stayed on the island and and which type of villa you stayed in.Bob.

Yes Bob thats him Silva he looks a real hard case ! but realy funny once you get to know him. I think he seems to like you if you can have a good drink !! which i did big time lol. We stayed in a watervilla Eagle Ray number 3 I thought i would put a report on as people thinking of going can read it and enjoy a little bit of Paradise

Hi Barry hard case is a good description Wendy my other half referred to him as the Godfather but we really liked him and his second in command Ranjee who was quite tall and slim.Like yourselves we have also been to Meeru and thoroughly enjoyed it but it is a totally different island to Komandoo.

In an ideal world i would like to do a week in both as both have their good points
