Flying out on the last day

Ok, bit of a weird one this.

Basically, on the last day of our stay, our main flight leaves from Male at 11pm. Obviously what we'd really like to do is just stay on Komandoo all day and catch the last Seaplane out to Male. Is the resort likely to be OK with this, or is it a case of "out by 10am" or whatever like some hotels?

I know I should ask the resort directly, just thought I'd see if there was precedent for this before I get my hopes dashed

The only point I will make here is that Komandoo have limited control on the seaplane timetable. They are presented with the fligh details late afternoon the day before. Usually the saving grace is the high number of planes in/out of Kuredu, only a two min hop away. Obviously you would be at the back end of flights for the day. But that could be mid afternoon or if your lucky late afternoon. If a good number from Kuredu are on the same flight as you I would think you would be later away from the Island. Either way you have to be back at Male before dark. This is around 7pm Komandoo time. They are an hour in front of Male. So perhaps back at the airport 6pm.

I think the room issue is dependant on the need for incoming guests and the time required for a full clean up.

Ok, thanks Richard. I guess I'll ask when I'm there a few days in advance if we can leave on the latest plane possible (if possible)

This may be of some help...we stayed on Kuredu and our flight home was very late evening. We did have to check out of our room in the morning but only got the sea plane back to Male around 4pm. Kuredu let us continue to use our AI status until departure meaning we were able to have lunch and a few drinks before we left and we were also provided with a room to get showered/changed before we left too.
