Question on 'Forums in General'

Never been a member of a forum before and found the idea of passing on previously gain experience as a help to others lucky enough to go to Komandoo. But to be honest I'm finding this hard work now. Let me quantifiy that. It would be nice if you pass a comment or help you get a response. When people return they post a report and say 'That was good advice, that was pants, which ever fits!

Perhaps it's normal that this happens, if so I will press on and chip in when I think I have some help.

Anyone else been in other forums and just seen people come in ask the question and thats it? How do we know that they have agreed or disagreed with what, lets be honest, is only a personal opinion in most cases. Price of beer etc is a fact given from our own last visit, best side of the Island is an opinion.

It would just be nice that we have some response to advice and trip reports to read etc.

I'm more than happy to keep this going but if you look at the visits by the majority of members, it's the faithful few to be honest.

I have learnt a great deal from the regulars around here and I come in often to check regarding new issues and discussions concerning Komandoo.

actually i started a forum a couple of years ago and it is really not easy to maintain one. Kudos to the admin and all the regulars here.

I guess if I'm honest I don't want too many people to find out about this little bit of paradise! Selfish I know, but what the heck! If new people find it, then I'm sure previous visitors will give honest comment/opinion as they see it from their experience Smile

Yes I will keep going Bob, no problem. I think in a few months we will start to get trip reports back and they will be good to read I'm sure. The odd, 'Thanks for that tip Bob' or 'I found that useful Richard' will make it worth while.

I was looking at another visit this Christmas, but think it will move out to Easter now. The $ rate is not doing us any favours with the bookings for sure.
