We arrived on Komandoo to not only drums but a little ditty of "welcome to Komandoo, have a nice holiday" - a cold towel and cocunut ice cream were also greatly appreciated! The reception staff were very welcoming as was the room boy. And what a great room with an amazing view. Manta 3 was simply perfect.

We made it to lunch just in time. Cold towels again and a really nice welcome from the towel girls and our designated waiter. The food was simply stunning - I had fish in lemon sauce which was as good as anything I've had in some top restaurants. We then went to the bar and had a nice cold drink and sat in the shade trying to desperately acclimatise.

Over the course of our stay we made many friends of both guests and staff. In particular, Silva the bar manager is fantastic bloke who both me and the wife grew to become good friends with. The thing we liked about Silva is that he didn't stick to the scipts that most of the other staff use - if he was in a mood he showed it and if he was cheerful he showed it. We liked him either way!

The facilities are second to none - the food is amazing - and the island itself, although very small, is simply picture perfect. You won't find a better house reef in the Maldives either! We did quite a few excursions and would highly recommend night fishing and the guided tour of Hinnavaru, the local island.

So in summary this was the most perfect holiday we have ever had in the nicest place we have ever visited. We will no doubt be regular repeaters and are already looking for the year after next.

Zico

Yes your right about Silva, sometimes blows hot, sometimes blows cold. But mostly blows hot! But you have to take your hat off to all bar staff in the ability to move from table to table and switch from English, German or what ever is required it seems.

Yes the Island is small, but thats why we go there. cheers

Nice to read a report and gather news about staff you can still picture in your mind.
