| Hi peeps, excellent forum.
I have booked a trip to Komandoo via expedia in september and expedia doesn't include the seaplane transfer to and fro from Komandoo.
In Expedia's website it is noted that we have to fork out an extra 180 MVR ( or something to that amount) which is way cheaper than the amount quoted in Komandoo's website. I have since written to Expedia but they are unable to help me on this.
My question is, how much is the actual amount that I need to pay and what arrangements would I need to do with the Komandoo people in order to book the flights, and do I book it via the resort?
Any inputs welcome. | |

Any inputs welcome. Mercuri For my small input on this matter, I hope the following points you in the right direction to get the answers you need. Firstly check with the following link to see if Expedia have sold you a package with the seaplane already in. Transfers not included in anway would be unusal. Quote name, date and flight number you might already be on the list [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]That is the seaplane company Komandoo now use as the owner of the seaplane company also owns Komandoo ! If you have no joy with them, contact [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]They will have details of your arrival and transfer status. If it needs to be booked I think direct with Komandoo would be my choice. After all it's in their interest to get you there happy I cant quote a price as I have only ever booked this direct with the Island. But as stated, I find it strange Expedia are saying 'We get you to Male, but just leave you to find your own way to the next bit we sold you' Enjoy Komandoo it is a wonderful place

| thanks Richard, As a matter of fact I did find it strange that an online website as huge and extensive as Expedia does follow through on the booking to the final destination, but it is actually written in black and white in their booking website, then again the prices quoted in Expedia and Komandoo is totally different. I would email to transmaldavian and hopefully they can give me a better understanding of the problem. I'd also write to Komandoo in order not to screw up my honeymoon in this beautiful place. Thanks again for this valuable input. | |

| Interesting topic this as we booked with dreamticket when we went last october and the transfers were included but we are looking to go again and the transfers are no longer included,I think this may well be a marketing ploy to keep the headline price low.BOB.G | |

| I reckon it should be a marketing strategy to make the resort looks 'affordable' on paper... or is it because the rest of the resorts are doing it as well? | |

| I agree, a bit like saying from in small letters when advertising a price. | |

| Hi, our holiday is getting closer and closer. We just wonder how we find the seaplane for Komandoo when we arrive to Male?

-Karita hi Karita, welcome to the forum... it depends on what time u arrive in Male International Airport. If u reach in the morning, there is a Komandoo resort counter on the left side of the arrival hall and there will be a guest relation personnel there. If u reach at nite or when the counter is closed, u can proceed to the sea plane counter, there are 2 seaplane providers there, transmaldivian and maldivian air taxi. Komandoo is being serviced by Transmaldivian, which is the blue and yellow colored air taxi. They will take care of the rest. Ie terminal transport, lugages, etc, after u check in.
